This park is had a Woodall's rating of 4, how it got that rating is beyond me. It should be been given a 2 or 3 at the most. The sites are gravel with very little grass. It is very dusty from cars on the road. This park would be an overnight stay only but, I would never plan on spending any extended time here. The park is old and needs major upgrading on the sites and roads.

If you are staying in the Tallahassee area, this is the campground to stay at. It is very well managed with lots of flowers and nice grass at each site. There is a large area dedicated for pets with plastic bags on several posts in the area. The sites are long and level, saw several 45 footer easily fit in the sites. The manager is very friendly and cares about the campground. The pool is a little small, type you would find in your back yard, but it was 9 feet deep at the deep end. The campground is very quite without numerous long term campers living in older units. WiFI worked great inside the motorhome and cable TV is also at each site. Both are free. I would call this campground a hidden jewel in the Tallahassee area.

This is a Good Sam and a Coast to Coast park. This campground does not reserve sites when you confirm a reservation. . It is a surprise when arriving and you are told to go pick out a camp site and come back and tell them the site number. It was interesting watching RV's driving up and down the roads trying to find a site. The 50amp sites are the first two rows which are always full and the rest of the sites are 30amp, no cable and some without full hookups. The campground is next to I-75 so there is a lot of traffic noise day and night. The 50amp sites also have cable connection so there is a $2.00 per day charge for that. Wireless internet is available only inside the office area and there is a $2.00 charge for that. There is a nice catch and release fishing pond and bingo nightly. Outside of that there is not much to do in the area. The roads are gravel and the sites grass most are not level. In my opinion, this campground would only be a good overnighter, if you did not mind the traffic noise. It could be a nice park if 50amp sites are installed in the back section of the campground where it is a lot nicer, more open and quieter.

This is an older KOA that has not been updated for quite a few years. We stayed overnight and it was fine for an overnight stay but, I would not stay any extended time here. The campsites are small and the campground is not 'big rig" friendly, a 34 foot motorhome would be a challenge at the majority of the sites. The campground is situated in heart of Renfro Valley which is the reason most people come here. Overall, I was not impressed with this campground, it is on the lower scale for KOA's.

This is a very nice campground with a real friendly staff, but be warned that it is expensive. As others have mentioned there is Bingo on Friday nights and coffee and pastry on Saturday mornings. They have live entertainment on Saturday nights and other activities on the week day nights. The campground advertises pull thru sites but, the pull through sites are not real pull throughs, if you are fortunate enough to be able to pull through, another camper may be placed behind you. This park has numerous rules that are explained to you in detail when you check in and are informed that the rules are taken seriously and if not followed you will be asked to leave without any refunds. The dog walking area is restricted to one area on one side of the park and is approximately 3ft wide. The sites are large enough for big rigs with room for slide outs and awnings but, everyone should be prepared to back into your site. Also one of the rules is that all the cars must park parallel to the road which makes the main roads narrow. When anyone arrives the campground staff must ask everyone parked in front to move their cars until the arrival backs in. I saw a lot of sites with fifth wheels and travel trailers that could have parked their cars into their actual sites, but the rule is parallel parking only. This is a PA campground so maybe that is why other's rate this park higher than I would. There is no swimming pool and all the sites are gravel with gravel patios. Rules state that camper rugs and carpets cannot be placed on the grass and only on the gravel patio area. I could not find anything that would make this campground outstanding and I would not make a special trip to return here.

This is a typical KOA. The campground is located on a lake with swimming and fishing areas. Lots of activities for kids. The roads and sites are all gravel and very dusty. Every car that passes through the campground trails a dust cloud behind it. The campground did have the roads sprayed to reduce the dust, but it was only done once during the week we were there. The large pull through sites are easy to pull in and out and are large enough to accomodate multiple slide outs. The campground is located near to I-94, so access to major tourist attractions are easy to access. Unfortunately, this is the only private campground in the Detroit area outside of state parks which limit the size of motorhomes.

This is one of the nicest KOA's I have been in. It is pricey especially the premium patio sites which are the most expensive. The patio sites have a large pebbled cement patio with a patio table and four chairs. There is also a patio glider and free standing fireplace. The patio sites are large enough even for the big rigs with multiple slide outs. The pool was large with a pavillion next to it for shade. All of the staff was friendly and tried to make sure your stay was enjoyable. It would have been nice to have cable TV for the prices they are charging. Overall, the park is close to all the Nashville attractions and offers Grey Line Tour bookings to all of the local attactions.

This is a very nice campground with a large number of pull through sites in the rear section of the park. There are quite a number of permanent residents in the front of the park. Mobile homes and cabins are available for rent, the cabins are along the river. Everyone at the campground is friendly and try to make sure you have nice stay. There is a nice pool but there is no shade. It would have been nice to have some patio tables with umbrella's around the pool to provide some shade. Overall, this is a very nice park and I would stay at again even for an extended stay.

This park is advertised as an RV resort but, all that was available was a pool and shuffleboard court. There are a lot of park models in this park and more are being added for sale. The development of park models seems to be the priority at this campground. It is advertised as an adult oriented campground with no activities for kids. The sites are gravel as well as the roads inside the campground. There are a limited number of pull through sites that will accomodate a motorhome. Overall, this is a great campground if you just want to lay back and take it easy, it is very quite.

This is a very old park with some permanent residents. It advertises "big rig friendly" but there are only a couple of sites at the end with enough room to pull out of the site. The sites are gravel as well as the roads. The park personnel were very friendly and try to accommodate your needs. I would only stay at this park as an overnight stop and would not plan on spending any extended time camping here.

We camped at this campground a couple of year's ago and it was okay. Our return visit was a surprise at how much improvements had been made. We requested the large pull through deluxe site which had a pebbled concrete patio and a fire place. WIFI is free to use and everyone tries to make your stay a good one. There is a tour desk for scheduling tours of Nashville thorough Grey Line tours.

This was our first time at staying at this campground and found it to be very quiet and clean. The pool and hot tub was well maintained and both were very clean. There is an on site restaurant across from the office and pizza's can be ordered and pickup. The management was excellent and escorted us to our site and informed us that if we needed anything to let them know. There were not many campers during our visit, but we were told by another camper that there had been a lot of transient workers camped there during the hurricane clean up. The only reason I did not give a 10 rating was the signs to the campground was very poor, there was a large sign with the campground name on it but, no arrows pointing to the campground. We drove past the campground and had to turn around and go back.

The campground management was excellent and everyone went out of their way to make you feel at home. However, this part need a lot of improvements, the washers and dryers are not working and the rest rooms were in need of updating. This is an Encore park and it was surprising to see how much this park needed in upkeep. Not typical for an Encore park. We were told by some of the residents that the park was going to be sold and converted into condos. I would not consider staying at this park again. Encore has another park about 10 miles north on Sunshine Key that is much better maintained and reflects what one would expect from an Encore park. There is also a KOA next door that appeared to be excellent and had a little sandy beach area for their guests.

The campground is managed by very nice people who go out of their way to make your visit enjoyable. There are lots of permanent residents in this park and in the morning it is a morning rush hour when people leave for work. This is a nice park for an overnight stop over but, it is not somewhere you would want to spend several days at. There are very few amenities and the lack of internet access is for me a real drawback since most parks are noe installing WiFi access. I would stay here again, but only as an overnighter.

The people that run this campground are very nice. But the campground is very rustic with uneven sites some were on a hill that had been bulldozed to be somewhat flat. The majority of the sites are permanent where people leave their campers all year long. The campground has a marina on Norris Lake and this campground caters to the seasonal boaters. This campground is more tailored toward the boaters who want a permanent site on Norris Lake. One thing to be aware of is that the water pressure is so high that without a water regulator or restrictor you will blow out your plumbing lines. When checking in you are told of the high water pressure and they will sell you a water regulator. Their web site states big rigs are welcome with paved sites, I did not see any when I camped there. If you are a boater, this would be a good place, however, for us campers, this campground does not offer anything. I would not stay here again unless I was towing a boat instead of a car.

Nice large sites with a nice cement patio, there are two cement runners for parking on. There is no WiFi or cable at this campground. Overall the campground is very nice but, it is pricey for what you get. There are other campgrounds in the area that have more to offer than this KOA.

The people running this campground try very hard to make your stay enjoyable. There are a lot of permanent residents in this campground and the sites are very small. My awning was almost touching my next door neighbor's camper, within 12". The sites are all gravel and it is dusty when traffic goes through the streets. I stayed several days since the other local campgrounds were filled over the labor day weekend. It is easy on and off Interstate 75 and would be okay for a one night stop over, but I would not recommend a longer stay.

This is a very basic campground that has not been kept up to date. There are only 7 sites that would be suitable for a class A motor home. A lot of sites do not have full hook ups. Quite a few are only water and electric. Due to the heavy trees and shrubs, using a satellite dish is very difficult. The people are very nice but very disorganized with reservations and what sites are open. It was felt that the campground fees were too high for the avaiable sites and facilities. The campgroup fees are typical of KOA campgrounds that have a lot more to offer. The swimming pool also needed some maintenance, tiles around the pool were loose which could be a safety hazard and algea starting to grow at the bottom of the pool. I would not stay here again, unless other more modern campgrounds in the area were filled. Would recommend making reservations in advance to avoid this campground.

Bay Bayou is a nice gated community campground on the west side of Tampa. It is located in a residential area and close to shopping centers and the beaches. The people running the campground were super, making sure everything was okay and offering assistance. Nice shaded sites with large oak trees. Majority of sites are pull throughs but there are several sites next to a large pond where big rigs can parallel park. The only draw back was there was no cable TV. Wi-Fi is available and is free to use. Nice large swimming pool and hot tub. Recreation center has nighly activities such as line dancing and movie night. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
